The Common Loaf Bake Shop has been in business in Tofino for 50 years. We started off in the Gust of Wind Community Arts Centre with two kitchen stoves and a banana bread recipe. Over the years, we have been in a couple of different rental location until in 1991, we were able to build our own location on First Street.
Right from the start, the dream was to provide tasty whole food and serve it in a place where people could gather, whether that was locals meeting for coffee or visitors wanting a place to write a postcard out of the rain.
