Surfrider Pacific Rim is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the ocean, beaches and waves, for all people. In 2025, Surfrider has continued to lead local and remote shoreline cleanups, removing toxic plastic pollution from coastal ecosystems. Surfrider also won the Take Back the Tap campaign this year by securing a historic ban on single-use plastic water bottles 1L and under in Tofino. Surfrider continues to lead plastic reduction campaigns, including Mug Movement, along with running the Youth Environmental Stewardship Program, the Water Friendly Business Program, the ReSurf Program and the Hold On To Your Butt Program.
