Coastal Queers is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering the queer community on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. CQ emerged in the spring of 2021 as a grassroots response to the need for greater visibility, support, and advocacy for 2S/LGBTQQIA+ voices in the region, where access to resources, community events and safe spaces has historically been limited. Our primary activities include facilitating access to resources, educational advocacy work, and connecting queer folks with one another to create networks of care within our community.
